SunsetsSunsets was written in honor of a rather unusual year spent in Lausanne, Switzerland. Good friends, long tramps through the winter woods at night, sunsets over the French Alps across lake Geneva, Saturday markets down in the town square, chocolate and fondue, a great deal of conversation and music and memories, all to be filed away in the mind’s archive, gathering dust and silence and all the usual debris of time.
My friend Lionel sang leads here, with me on background vocals and instruments. We recorded the song in 1994. I can’t remember now what the Hebrew lyrics mean. I trust they mean something pertinent. In addition to Sunsets, there is a Sunsets Reprise song as well. I’ll post that later.
