Loud and rambunctious

Loud and rambunctious describes our family Christmas yesterday. It included a ham, a turkey, one dozen children between the ages of 19 months and 18 years, eight adults, and several cats that were wisely nowhere to be seen. We spent a great deal of time eating (is this purely an American custom for Christmas), sang carols (two guitars and about one dozen random percussion instruments being played in various levels of competence by most of the aforementioned dozen children), ate some more, plundered and pillaged our way through piles of presents, lit the candles on the tree, sang Silent Night, and then staggered away to our respective homes.

I hope all of your Christmases were as pleasant and joyous.
