Final copy-edit of The Wicked Day

I’m working through the final copy-edit of The Wicked Day, making sure that I’m comfortable with the fixes the editor noted. I’d forgotten how long this last book is. 142,000 words, which equates to about 568 pages, if you figure at 250 words per page. The entire Tormay trilogy is about 450,000 words, which is pretty much the same length as Tolstoy’s War and Peace.

What was I thinking?

I wasn’t. I was just having a good time telling a story.

  1. Congrats on almost being done with your trilogy! I just wrote my review on Shadow at the Gate today (pen and paper) I hope to get it posted tomorrow and featured on the blog mid-June. I can’t wait to see how the story ends!

    1. Thanks, Scott! I’m pretty excited to wrap this project up. Ten years in the making. It’s high time I move on and write something else. Looking forward to reading the review…
