Finished up the fourth draft of the script (action-only), mailed it out. One more meeting to take a look at the smoothness of the different character arcs. If everyone’s happy, then I’ll start adding dialogue.
Speaking of making films, Ed Burns, the director of The Brothers McMullen, etc., just had an interesting piece in the Daily Beast about filmmaking outside the Hollywood culture. The main roadblock in the business is distribution. At least, that’s what it’s been in the past. Now, with iTunes, video-on-demand, etc., you can shoot a film for cheap with no-name actors, and still get it out there and make a return.
