I just posted a very interesting interview with Doug Carlyle. Click on over and give it a read. It’s refreshing to encounter another writer who made the jump later in his career to writing. Life’s an amazing thing, full of opportunity to head back into the yellow wood and take the road you didn’t try before (apologies to Mr. Frost for mishandling his words). By the way, if anyone can explain the ten gallon conundrum, I’d appreciate that!

Indie Author Interview: Brian Drake
I just posted an interview I did with Brian Drake, a thriller writer who has a couple of books up on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords. Give it a read here. And then get out there and support your local farmer’s markets, your homegrown artisan cheeses, your local pie baker, and your indie writing community. Oh, and indie music too. Hmm. Does the revolt in Egypt qualify for the indie/homegrown category?
Fiddling With New Covers
I’m currently in the process of replacing the cover of The Model Universe and The Hawk And His Boy. I’m also having a cover done for a collection of humorous urban fantasy short stories called The Mike Murphy Files. Anyway, the brave and talented Josh Adessi has been working on the cover for The Model Universe. Here’s the cover illustration…
…and here’s what I’m thinking about for the text design for that cover. The illustration is done, but the text design is up for change. If you have any thoughts on that, let me know.
Indie Author Interview: S.L. Baum
Just posted an interview with S.L. Baum, Young Adult paranormal author. The indie world is taking off in leaps, bounds, and trampoline-assisted super bounds. Amazon is now selling more ebooks than paperbacks. It’s folks like S.L. that are making that happen.
Presto! First Two Indie Ebook Author Interviews
I’ve decided to start doing interviews of authors from the indie ebook segment of the publishing industry. And here I am, jumping in with the first two. Brian Kittrell, who writes horror, and Jason Matthews, who writes spiritual/sci-fi. I haven’t read their books, but that’s not the point. What I’m interested in doing here is simply spreading the word about the indie ebook revolution in general. Long live Ones and Zeros! Poor old Gutenberg. He’s probably doing a few revolutions in his grave as we speak/read/write.
