I woke up this morning to discover that Amazon, in its infinite and inscrutable wisdom, had suddenly lowered the print cost of A Storm in Tormay from $24.99 to $15.95. That’s got me puzzled.
In case you’re wondering if I’m a shameless gouger, the reason why Storm is/was $24.99 is that Amazon’s base cost on it is $22 something. I merely added 2 dollars on top to make a little profit. Their high printing cost is due to the enormous size of the book: 748 pages at 7×10 inch trim, 3.5 lbs of epic fantasy.
Anyway, I’m kind of wondering now who’ll make any money off $15.95. At any rate, if you don’t have a print version, now’s a good time to get it dirt cheap! Buy one for your grandmother. She’ll love it.
